Poultry The following links will take you to more information about the breeds of chickens and ducks I work with here at Quennell Lake Poultry: I sell chicks and ducklings throughout the spring and summer, and very occasionally have started birds or young adults available later in the year. Quantities are limited, and not everything is available at all times, so if you have your heart set on a specific breed, contact me early to reserve. All birds must be picked up at the farm. My 2008 prices are: Chicks & Ducklings: $5.00 each, day-old, straight-run. (Straight-run means males and females mixed, just the way they hatch out of the eggs.) Older birds: for all birds not sold as day-olds prices are calculated as follows: $5.00 each, plus $0.50 per week of age. So, an 8-week old chick would cost you $9.00, a pullet at 20 weeks $15.00.
